Reservoirs were that low you could see the villages which were flooded to make them. It has happened before but the duration and the depth of low was something I’ve not seen before.
One near my parents that was built for a canal was low enough for a sizable area to not be covered and by the end of summer had plants growing.

Finally something abstaining from the term “British Isles”
That was during a drought because England normally is much greener
