I love reading Newsthump, it does make me sad though that it is much closer to reality than it used to be.

I regularly see people on this sub talking about “NHS strain” being a reason to reduce immigration.
Even if you ignore the fact that immigrants are much more likely to be working age (meaning that they’re paying taxes and actually funding the NHS), the NHS would be absolutely crippled without its foreign born staff!
13 years of the Tories and 7 years of Brexit have put the NHS on its knees… And some people want to double down with the mistakes we’ve already been making!
Yup, we don’t pay our nurses enough nor do we train enough domestically each year, so instead we go to poorer countries and grant visas for nurses from their health services.
Daily Mail reader then asks why there is an arbitrary cap on the number of students on which we are allowed to bestow MBChB/MBBSs rather than importing them, stunting the future growth of our own population and contributing to the brain drain of developing nations.
Not being able to train and keep enough hospital workers is a major failing of the country.
I’m getting more and more anti immigration because there are so few reasons to have lots of immigration other than papering over the cracks.
It comes down to two things.
1) We need immigration because we don’t have enough people educated to do the job. Really we should educate more.
2) we need immigration because we don’t have enough people to do a job that should pay more. Really we need to pay more.
Unfortunately this is not really satire it is just going to be the truth which is played out hundreds of times a day across the country.
Oh the The Daily Fail will never to fail to humour us. Dear Simon, your forefathers went around the globe looting them and enriching your country. What you see in your country as your wealth was once other people’s wealth. You were there, so they are in your country. didn’t they tolerate you for centuries? Now it is your turn.
Is that why nhs treatment is third world nowadays then?
You clowns are the epitome of turkeys voting for Christmas.
Just pray that Daily Mail readers don’t find out about bird migrations. They’ll be trying to round up all the geese and ducks and trying to send them back to where they came from.

I was at the doctors a couple of years back. They were running late and the waiting room was packed with old, white people. “It must be because of all the immigrants” one said, unironically.
So feckin what!! England cant manage without immigrants, clear what a mess Brexits been.
As much as it’s parody, it was/is very much a thing. My dad was in and out of hospital for years and he’s a massive racist cunt, who would always complain about the “wogs and pakis” who had the audacity to treat him.
Same with his GP being Indian….
Of course he was happy to receive their care and help.;
Also Vote Leave putting out that video about how brexit would make hospitals better, seemed to distinctly remove a lot of the non-whites “after brexit”
