I have trouble finding good information about the procedures etc. There’s [this article](https://newsmonkey.be/niet-akkoord-met-jouw-examenuitslag-wat-kan-je-doen-en-hoeveel-kans-maak-je-om-te-winnen-van-de-universiteit/) but the links in it to my university (UA) are broken. I can’t find any information on my university’s site and the document of the onderwijs- en examenreglement is very unclear, so I can’t tell whether what the article says is correct. Any info or advice would be much appreciation. Thanks!

  1. My classmates got to retake an exam once. We were only allowed 1h during the exam, while it was supposed to be a 1.5h long exam.

I’m not 100% certain if this was what did it (it was a difficult exam and a lot of people weren’t done after an hour yet), but my friend contacted the student information point for it. I do know there were multiple people who used multiple ways, but the information point is a good place to start imho.

All people who failed the first exam were allowed to retake the exam during the final exam week.

  2. I did, not so much against the exam itself but against the professor (and I wasn’t alone either).

Nothing changed, I retook the exam in second session and graduated. Professor ended up becoming dean 🙃

    This was at KUL.

  3. Depends a lot on your professor. I once had a 9 on an exam which made me fail the course while I had a 17 on the project (you needed to pass both). I sent him an email when I got the results and since the questions were very open he allowed me to clarify some of my answers a bit more which gave me a 10 on the exam and a 14 in total.

  4. I know most universities don’t allow you to contest the results, unless there is a material error, like not adding up all the points you gathered or missing a page or something.
