It’s one thing when an interviewer hands a politician the rope and lets them hang themselves with it.
This guy, however, went to the shop, specifically requested the rope, and tied the noose all by himself.
The only thing that was transparent here was his effort to revise history and deflect the question.
On top of all this shit, this Richmond fella is an Orangeman… from Dublin.
Is in favour of Ireland rejoining the commonwealth, wears the poppy, and thinks the Easter lily is “offensive”. Has attended July 12th marches and had meetings with the orange order.
And of course was initially “disinterested” in supporting gay marriage (until it became politically untenable to not support it).
