When state services fail, citizens pay extra or sink. This is Sunak’s Britain now | Nesrine Malik

  1. Health-care services are in shortage, ‘going private’ could only ever be something a minority of people can do because as soon as the flood-gates open they will once again be kept waiting. This time for a fee.

  2. The problem with privatisation is that tax payers will still have to pay either similar or money money to services but now the middle man takes a cut. Already seeing that in rail industry…20+ years of proof but we have idiots who refuse to see it.

Not a single rail company is in loss at the moment…while the services are still utter shit

  3. It’s when the Big Society steps in, except even charities cannot cope with rising demand and when those who used to donate to them are now in need of their services themselves. Too many people now need help and there is going to be a lot less coming. Sunak’s Britain might be one where even charities have to turn people away, leaving those people with nowhere to turn.
