Cypriots should try living and working abroad for 5 years minimum so they can get a real taste of what it’s like in other EU countries. Then, we should ask them again what they think about life in CY. Honestly, the kind of complaints I listen to sometimes would make a rich German man upset about how spoiled we are and don’t even realise it.
I lived in Uk and had the most amazing professional experiences… was given a job according to my abilities… came back to Cyprus… could not find a job… stayed 6 months unemployed and worked as a waitress… with all due respect to waitresses. In an interview here, I even been asked who my father was as it seems I have the same name as an “important” figure here, to see the smiles disappear when I said I had no relation with this family…. went back to Uk, found a job in a month, bought my own place, come back here once a year to play the happy tourist and go back to my beloved rain and snow… shame one country can not open, will not open doors for its eager, hard working young natives who happens to not have the right family name….
What a weird map. Isn’t it just showing which countries have had a big change in satisfaction (for better OR for worse)?
Cypriots be complaining while typing on a 1000€ iPhone/Android phones while wearing 100€ Nike/Adidas trainers.
I am glad I had this question “what is your profession?” and am surprised it did not come up faster… it is the kind of reaction I had from 90% of the Cypriot citizens… it’s my chosen profession that is the cause of me not finding work… no other factors…well thank you for confirming what I always knew and went through and making my point for me.
I want to go to Sardinia ❤️
Cyprus wins again!
some people complaining in the group but for me after living in england for 16 years, coming back to cyprus helped me enjoy life again. England is great for finding jobs, but it’s a collapsing civilizational shithole, rank and broke. Cyprus will make you enjoy life. Yes me and my gf are both employed, earning enough to fund our lifestyles and saving money on the side. Gods of Olympus bless this island and its people.
