For those who want capital punishment to make a comeback, this sort of thing is why it _shouldn’t_.
Because let’s be honest, we haven’t changed _that_ much as a society. We’d still find a way to make an innocent woman into the guilty party. We’d still be baying for her blood, merely for being female and attractive to more than one man, for having an active imagination that a man takes as permission for action.
