Tried making a Fårikål recipe video for Taiwanese people, how did I do? 🙂 [English subtitles!]

  1. Looks very good. We typically use somewhat tougher and fattier cuts like brisket. But the result looks great. We have trouble explaining to foreigners the beauty of this dish, so interested to hear the reactions from Taiwan. I expect they are used to more spices.

  2. So a very famous Norwegian dish is fårikal ice cream and I think you should try that. It’s essentially all the elements of fårikål, finely chopped, and added to vanilla ice cream. It’s a holiday favorite in our house, and also in very many other houses in Norway. It’s not Christmas without fårikål ice cream, as the famous saying goes!

  3. I would suggest cutting the cabbage into thinner wedges to make it easier to layer them. Otherwise no complaints. In my family we generally just have plain old boiled potatoes rater than baked, but I’d say do whatever you prefer for that.
