7. Hello from a Swedish friend who went to Istanbul a few weeks back for my 30th birthday! As others have touched on- Turkish people, language, culture and history is great! It’s a shame you have Erdogan as your leader now after the legendary legacy of Atatürk, but things can always improve!

    I used to hang out with some Turkish exchange students here in Sweden. They were really happy and friendly people, very enjoyable to spend time with.

    It was very sad to hear how resigned they felt when Erdogan started imprisoning journalists, scientists, university teachers, etc. Hope you are ok, and hope your next election will be fair & open.
