Yes, it’s the snow. During the fall or winters with no or very little snow it’s so damn dark. But when you have snow you can go out even in more rural areas in the middle of the night and still see quite well even to the distance.
The difference is unreal.
Is this picture taken in Oulu?
Sometimes its pretty cool when there is fresh snow and clear full moon and you go out from city lights.
