Hey so I came across this [website](https://maltafilmacademy.org/) for the Mata Film Academy now known as the Malta International Film Academy and I was wondering if anyone here had any details to the allegations they are referring to. This is a shot in the dark but if anywhere could point me in the right direction I would much appreciate it.

Interesting. The government part for sure is out of control and corrupt as fuck. Malta’s own 1MDB fiasco.
From experience if this involves funding in Malta, it will be a lawless shit storm, much like EU funding and they will cheat and lie and steal and fuck their own mothers.
is there anywhere on this island where what that website is stating is NOT true?
If it is run by the same people from the Film Commission (i.e. the government), don’t be too shocked with these accusations.
But, BUT, it’s very normal that a handful of people don’t pay invoices (unfortunately).
Hm, I have worked with Roland Joffe before and he is definitely “accredited”, being an established director (though I have my money laundering suspicions). However I wouldn’t be surprised especially if this is attached to the Film Commission. I’ll look into this.
