It makes me feel very old to think there will be a lot of people looking at this post who weren’t born when these notes were in circulation
Could pay a bill with them but why not keep and make a picture feature of them? Just find a hanging spot away from the front windows!

I have no memory of the £50 or £100 notes at all, probably because I was quite poor back in the day.

I knew the lads on the bottom three. Never saw the two lads on top.
Op’s got it backwards, you’re supposed to take a picture of the lockbox before you open it saying you’re gonna try and crack it open and then never update us and leave us hanging in suspense
God I feel old. I remember both! When the new ones came in they felt so different. The old sellotaped pound notes that smelled of tobacco 🙂

I was a working man in the 90’s and I have never seen a the £100 note, and I don’t remember ever owning a £50.
God I miss those notes, although only got as high a £20 as I was a kid 😂
