I’m suprised by how many people haven’t seen this advert yet, I remember it from a kid along with the one were the guy got crushed into his girlfriend on the walls
Great ads, very effective I’d imagine
I always loved that cover of Sweet Child O Mine.
I was looking to get an original copy of it and found out, it’s some 15 year old doing it, specifically for this ad.
>Our rendering of ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ seems to have hit the spot for this film, as millions around the world tune in to see, hear and join in the road safety debate. Arranger and Producer Joe Glasman said: ‘Discovering our singer Laura, an unknown 15 year-old schoolgirl, was key — a mature voice that carries the tune beautifully but also betrays a haunting, vulnerable innocence. The more we stripped back the music, the more silence around the voice, the greater the impact the score made with picture’.
I witnessed it earlier and I thought of the old PSAs
“All of these little things…remind me of the one I love.” And then it starts speeding up.
We only got the one where the car rolls into a garden and kills a family BBQ’ing.
TBH I don’t know how effective these types of ads are. They are so graphic. The ones that get me are the ones where the nurses, paramedics, parents are talking about the aftermath of an tragic accident. They seem much more real for some reason.

I don’t remember this one being on TV in Ireland.
The comments on the original post are painfully American.

Remember this one?

That one actually freaked me out more because it’s so quiet, with most others you’re expecting the “twist”
And if you’re weird like me and like watching weird PSAs, here you go. Compilation of scary drink driving PSAs.
