That is pretty good that they try to limit the mass tourism over there. But also, most of the tourism industry except sailing, are made around longyearbyen, so that won’t hurt much the industry really. Like snowmobile, dogsleding tour, hikes /ski tour are in the close vicinity of the town.
A lot of the wildlife are found on the costline, so that is where those big ship have the most impact. So overall pretty good implementation if they ever do, they talked about for years now.
