The tombs of Aigai are probably my favourite archaeological site I’ve visited. The first time I saw King Philip’s greaves, and specifically how one was shaped different to the other (Philip had a limp), it was one of those moments that suddenly a legendary historical figure feels very real.
Such underrated archeological site imo considering it’s literally the tomb of Phillip II, Alexander’s father. Unfortunately it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere
