I mean alot of people are in households with parents who actively sabotage their attempts to be more independent. You cant really learn how to cook if there’s an argument every time you touch the stove.
It’s like a leaving cert essay.

The housing crisis is definitely a great reason to stay at home. If I met someone and they were like “yeah I could live with my parents for free, or spend €1500 to share a moldy apartment with 5 other people in Dublin” I’d be like “you’re a complete moron” if they chose the moldy apartment (aside from if their parents are truly awful people and it’s to save their own sanity). Plenty of cultures live at home until they get married and start their own families.
She’s just someone young trying to sound smart and more worldly than she is. She lacks the experience and perspective to realise how condescending she comes across.
If it was as easy to publish online when I was her age, I’d probably have sounded the same.
And judging by the opinions of some of the people here, they would do. Give her a break and let’s revisit it in 5-7 years.
