This is a great opportunity for Maltese owned companies to relocate to any other EU jurisdiction, and cut their taxes by more than a factor of 3!! That will still be double what foreign owned Maltese companies pay, but it’s a great start.

And best of all the Maltese government won’t even care because of the increase in foreign owned companies. It is a win-win… at least until tax harmonization kicks in.
