Ukraine is rich in resources, especially food, and Poland was backed by supposedly strongest army in the world, French, plus British and Czech. So ofc Germany could not just invade them like they are nothing, they have to find somewhere else where they don’t disrupt the peace. And that Hitler guy fought in WW1 he would not want another world war.
