It allows shrimps too and as far as I’m concerned they’re the same level of disgusting, so i don’t see what’s so newsworthy about it.
This is going to be a new hard-right talking point. I can just hear the village idiots crowing away about how “Greta Thunburg wants to force you and your family to eat Crickets”
TBH it will mostly be used as protein powder. Less likely to be used in processed food unless they find a new name for it.
I won’t mind eating this.
Deep fried with garlic sauce they are suprisingly good and very crunchy.
Eat the bugs
You will eat ze bugs
great. humans have been eating all sort of insects for milenia without any major side effects. lots of asian cultures still eat them now with no side effects. no need to discriminate.
Can I get a large pizza with extra crickets. Add the cricket sauce on the side.
Side note: It’s the 3rd insect allowed.
Before we already had Migratory locust and Mealworm
I’m sure people who are trying to push this will lead by example and make crunchy bugz the only food available in all of EU offices and in cafeterias of national parliaments.
Where can I find the politicians that allowed this law? I demand that their food henceforth be made exclusively from house crickets.
Hopefully only as a main product, not just as an additive 🙂
don’t you just love how it’s “the EU” when something weird gets introduced (national governments could still allow or ban I just as they see fit) just as it’s also “the EU” when something widespread gets banned? fucking sensationalist headlines.
