  1. Ah yes, let’s give more money to the famously straight laced and responsibly spending FAI. At least the equine industry in Ireland has an economic output meriting the funding of horse racing.

Agree with cutting the subsidy to horseracing and greyhounds and using it to fund other sports, but I don’t accept his argument that the FAI should be ‘rewarded’ for encouraging people to gamble on soccer. A couple of teams are sponsored by gambling companies as it is, it’s a parasitic industry.

  3. Agreed 100%. Horse and greyhound racing does nothing for communities. Investing in local soccer teams and other sports that actually involve people could have a major impact on communities.
