My grandfather had to go in to a care home, and it was honestly one of the most depressing places I’ve ever been. It really was just a place they go, waiting to die. All these people just lying or sitting there, doing nothing but existing, not living. As sad as it was losing my grandfather – thankfully he wasn’t in there too long. And suffering from dementia, he wasn’t really him anymore (much like most people there).
And I’m pretty sure it was costing thousands a month – which is pretty disgusting as they’re basically just being taken advantage of and draining what my grandmother had left to live on. Although I did hear the care home did refund a bunch of what gad already been paid. Must be terrible for people to lose a loved on there and still being charged for some of it.
The amount care homes charge is obscene. You’re easily looking at £1000/week
Most people are never gonna see an inheritance after care homes are done bleeding their relatives dry
But if we crack down on this then how are the rich people going to get richer?! Who can survive with only 3 lambos and a couple mansions!
