I’m all for raising taxes BUT. Before taxes are raised, we should first fix the tax avoidance, unless they actually get taxed percentually less the more money they earn.
Otherwise, even if you raise the tax to 99%, getting 99% of 0 will still be zero if they have their way using the accounting loopholes they’ve been using for decades.
Oncreasing taxes wont do anything if you dont fight tax evasion
They will just evade the increases just like they evade most of what they have to pay now.
This is a big distraction to the real problem.
Fighting tax evasion by itself would massively oncrease the revenues from taxation.
Increasing taxes before that, will just encourage more people to tax evade and punish those who pay what they owe.
This is coming from billionaires! You can raise it all you want. These guys dodge them anyway!
