>Jamie Walsh and another teenager set on the victim shortly after they had seen the victim kissing his partner and had told him “it’s so gay”.
>Lawyers for Walsh told the court that while the attack appeared as homophobic, it was more of a case of drunkenness and immaturity.
Seems pretty cut and dry.
Worthless creature
48 previous convictions… these people should just disappear from society, as they contribute nothing to the greater good of humanity
Judge Nolan to the rescue, what a joke, scum like that need to be aborted from society, what evil piece of shit will be capable at later stage in their life, if little shit not even 18 has tens of convictions and no issue’s to knock people out cold. Surely a fck like that is steps away from murdering someone.
18 months for a homophobic attack? What a great message to send to gay people in this country.
Textbook homophobic attack and they have the nerve to say this.

Being drunk should not be an excuse for bad behavior.
At least Nolan didn’t suspend the full sentence this time, and the victim didn’t have any permanent physical injuries, I think
>18-year-old youth
*18 year old man
so many men get attacked in ireland, yet we never stand up for each other. we need to be as supportive as women are to other women victims of attacks
18 is a youth? I thought 18 was a man, and would be treated as a man doing bad things…
by rights, if this person commits another crime – either theft or assault – when they are released, the sentence should be punitive (5-8 years). There are far too many scumbags in Ireland who are approaching 30 with hundreds of convictions – I always wonder, how did they have time for this amount of crime, sure they would have been locked up after the first dozen or so, but no, we just give them a day in court and a stern warning.
What good is having dirty wretches in society? surely he is among those that will never be able to be rehabilitated in anyway.
