Help identifying this book? Found in Reykjavik cat cafe, originally thought Swedish due to google’s translation of “kattad”

  1. The title means nothing to me. Might say “Kattað Gúa”? Have you ruled out completely that the book is swedish or norwegian?

  2. I really tried, i even upped the contrast to try and read it better. But after more than 30 minutes, i give up.

What i can say is that i doubt this is Icelandic. Most results in google when i tried to guess what it said came back with Swedish results. Also, no matter what letters i guess these are, i struggle to find actual Icelandic words that match, let alone both words together.

I noticed that it’s possible the first word ends with ‘lt’ not ‘ð’ or ‘d’, can’t be sure though. Also there’s a question mark to the right of the title. Just some info if anyone else wants to do some investigating.

  3. Another wild guess: in Finnish, the title “Kattait gua?” translates to “Did you cover me?” according to google translate.
