UK-India Young Professionals Scheme: No sponsor, no job necessary for two-year stay

  1. Don’t Indians have the highest rate of not returning? Really bad idea especially considering no job or sponsor required, what’s to say they don’t come and just disappear?

  2. FFS, this is the biggest load of bullshit the tories have sprung on us so far this year.

I am a first generation British born Indian and I think this is a ridiculous idea.

I live in Leicester and have seen the effect of how Indians from India turned Leicester into a complete nightmare last year.

These people coming from India and Pakistan, don’t understand that here in Britain religion is generally not a dividing wall and their cultural difference and extreme racial divide are causing serious issues amongst communities that have been alongside each other for decades.

  3. Interesting, they‘d do this before extending the existing Youth Mobility scheme to European youth as they had pledged before Brexit.

  4. Nice! Hope to see more liberalized movement of goods and trade in the future.

Hopefully in larger numbers and with regional allies (EU) too

  5. Chill everyone. Only 3000 per annum. It’s an youth exchange scheme already available to South Korea, Canada, Japan, Australia and so on.

  6. I have some extremely clever and talented indian colleagues, but this is going to absolutely inundate software and IT with incredibly incompetent engineers

  7. People sarcastically saying ‘the Brexiteers are gonna love this’, odd, cause the the type of people who post on this sub seem to be ‘loving it’.

Left or right, Indians are universally hated. Hated by one group for supposedly voting leave (proof?) and the other for being brown
