Paint firm fined after toxic chemical released into Devon river

  1. Now the water companies for sewage please. Says alot when I’m genuinely surprised that they fined a company for water destruction right now.

  2. Going forward, I believe that Industrial / chemical firms should not be allowed to operate near rivers, lakes and coastlines. It makes it too easy to illegally discharge and hope no-one notices.

  3. These sort of actions should carry criminal liability, regardless of LLC status. If I dump a load of old motor oil into a lake, I’d be getting seen in front of a judge. The same should happen for companies.
