  1. How can they refuse the freedom of information request on the P&L. Just keep pissin away taxpayers money with zero accountability

  2. They are delusional – run a musical in their first place (presumably outside the scope of a national broadcaster); make it about one of their own shows; continue with it for years to come despite it being a flop

  3. The TV licence guy was around again today. So glad I have a video doorbell so I don’t have to pay that shower of wasters.

  4. “RTÉ said that the success of the Late Late Toy Show and the thousands of people who apply for tickets each year had led to “a variety of ideas to extend the Toy Show brand beyond the programme itself”.

Dear God The Late Late Show Universe. Coming soon the origins story, followed by Roll it there Collette, then Pat the Plank and Tubriddy a lifetime in Montrose.

  5. Classic case of believing their own hype. The toy show us nostalgia but it’s shite, especially since tubridy has gone all schmaltzy on it. No one’s going to spend money to watch a musical based on it.

  6. My kids fucking can’t stand the toy show. They watched it once or twice a tiny kids and have avoided it ever since. They don’t see the attraction of it. Neither do I. It really isn’t the institution it’s made out to be

  7. Absolutely farcical, but yet typical of this country. RTE should be scrapped, they’re completely unfit for purpose.

  8. They producers are really deluded enough to think The Toy Show is some sort of goldmine IP waiting to be exploited in a variety of new media. It’s not. It’s a crappy childrens talent competition that regular kids at home find completely uninteresting.
