Between them, Amazon and Salesforce, it looks to be a bleak couple of weeks ahead for some people.
The dumb thing is Microsoft is more profitable then ever. They are only firing people because other tech companies are firing people and the shareholders want them to do it too…. Just because it’s the thing tech companies are doing.

Kind reminder: These companies do not give a single fuck about you and only exist to make their already obscenely rich shareholders even more rich. Horrible cunts.
Companies like MS, Salesforce, Twitter, Amazon went on huge recruitment drives over the last 3 years. Hoovering up talent while paying higher and higher wages. This wasn’t sustainable, horrible for the people affected but big IT companies seemed to operating under the perception that they were going to be expanding exponentially as they had to over covid. That was a bubble where we needed more tech support etc.. mad.
