Recently a family member passed and this was in their belongings. I recognize the name on it as a family name, as well as some of the words, but cannot make most of this out. I would really appreciate help translating it, I would ale nie mówię dobrze po polsku.

Looks like a birth certificate, from the church. Of someone who was born 8 january 1888.
The act of birth of Julian Pesta (?), son of Józef and Marjanna (there is her maiden name mentioned but I can’t read it because of the folds and holes) born in Ruda village 8th Jan 1888. Issued by the parish priest in Skrwilno 2nd October 1924.
If you google Skrwilno, you’ll find there is a church there, could be the same one but hard to tell. The village Ruda is nearby if you ever want to visit your ancestral lands.
It’s interesting that the document was issued when Julian was 36. It could be that after Poland regained independence he could finally get it in writing and in Polish, or maybe it was around time he was getting ready to emigrate and needed it for the passport?
Edit: it is the same church, they could still have the original birth certificate in their records along with more family members’ information
