But this guy seems to be more or less saying we cannot do anything about climate change therefore we should not bother. This is very much a trope peddled by the backers of the fossil fuel industry. First there was “no climate change” (they knew there was decades ago but buried the evidence) and now “OK there is climate change but we cannot do anything about it”.
This is the fossil fuel industry that lied and covered up the scandal of lead in petrol for decades.
So either we give up, as this guy suggests, or we have to fight the fossil fuel industry because these guys have already lobbied themselves to the position that the COP meetings are now effectively meetings of the fossil fuel fraternity.
If the worst thing they can do is call you ‘woke’ then continue what you’re doing.
