nothing to do with in-out group reaction on sending war materials to ukraine.
And to this day I can’t identify one way in which I have been affected by Brexit
Even if UK Rejoins tomorrow EU would simply refuse the chaos it would bring is not worth it, Brexit crowd are still alive and well you think they wouldn’t campaign to leave EU again?
FPTP needs to go first.
Let’s wait until the global food and energy crisis really hits later this year and Britain is one of the first in line to buy surplus food and energy from the USA whilst the EU countries scramble and bicker between themselves.
I was saying this to a friend the other day – it’s funny that immediately after Brexit was voted for we heard all this talk about other EU countries being emboldened to leave the EU too, and indeed some EU politicians did briefly campaign for it, but in the last few years you haven’t heard a peep about anyone else wanting to leave. Even the far right wing politicians in the EU don’t talk about leaving it anymore.
If anything, cohesion in the EU has only strengthened since the UK left, because of the example we’ve set – and yet Brexit campaigners at the time said that the EU would weaken and even collapse after the UK leaves.
It’s not even remotely enjoyable to say “I told you so” anymore – it’s just plain sad.
I live in France and there was talk of a Frexit – stickers and posters dotted around everywhere. Not any more.
The thing is the whole brexiteer” it’s a dictatorship” angle doesn’t really work anymore.
If you can vote to leave something it’s not a dictatorship.
Of all phrases, why not, *nein amigo, signora, signore, au revoir*? They just have to use deutsche…
No wonder, the Tories failed to grab the opportunity and they don’t realise how unstable the Eurozone actually is
Said it from before the vote. It was never going to be easy if it was everyone would leave.
Is the title a joke about continental Europe being dominated by Germany?
It’s as if there were multiple warning signs, like the multiple trade talks they held and we were invited to, sending in hostile incompetent negotiators who would walk out and go ‘🤷♂️’. The EU ministers trying not to let us leave with nothing at all. How we were talking deals similar to Norway and Switzerland than then deescalated back to *nothing*. Our ministers going ‘we have Canada and the US lined up’ down to them saying ‘do you fuck, Canada barely said anything and Biden couldn’t care less about us as a nation, let alone fixing our issues mostly due to our leaders.’ And now the EU has made it way harder for you to just leave no matter how badly you want it, a great sign we did the right thing.
It is like there were multiple hurdles and we decided to just smash our knees into every hurdle.
Brexit was a good thing. It finally discredited Euroskeptics for good.
I genuinely don’t understand how there hasn’t been mass protests and riots all over the UK yet. Not saying it’s the correct way to do things but constantly taking a shafting and just accepting it isn’t the way
Dave Mustaine harps on endlessly and bitterly about being kicked out of Metallica.
Nobody in Metallica ever mentions Dave Mustaine.
Same energy.
Who fucking cares what a dumb article says. I look at other EU countries also and think, no thanks.
Didn’t want Brexit, but still love Britian. We’ll sort it out!
The biggest problem with Brexiters is that the actual reason for leaving wasn’t told to them,?while many of them had too many reasons for leaving with immigration top of their list and they never thought they were being lied to.
As Harry Enfield put it many years ago, it’s better to be on the train pissing out, than running along the platform trying to piss in.

You guys fell on a sword so others can keep living normally. Basically all “exit” movements across Europe are dead. All-time greatest own goal. Well done.
I think the British press is a bit too concerned about what your neighbours are thinking. To be honest: we don`t think about the Brexit very often anymore. It is sad you guys left and it is depressing to see the struggle. But I don`t think this is only caused by Brexit but that you are just a few years ahead of us. We might be heading in the same direction and for all of us I hope we find a solution for our economic and social struggles.
This sub literally cry’s about brexit more than once a day. It’s done, accept it & move on.64
The market we left behind has been filled by home grown boosting their own economy what exactly has this country to offer?
This should always have been a referendum to start leave negotiations on the understanding that there would be another referendum on whether to take the deal that was eventually negotiated or stay in the EU.
Nonsense again. . It has been silenced due to the Instability of UK. Boris believe he could bulldoze his way.
He really had a distasteful approach.

Good riddance.

Brexit has been ‘shelved’, while EU waits for the ‘Movie’, to stop rolling.
Did any EU nations look at Britain in a positive way before Brexit? All the catastrophic non-delivery of Brexit has done is given them another reason to look down on us.
