  1. “Former Sligo resident Clement Limen left the Midlands Prison two days early, but went straight into the hands of waiting officers from the Garda National Immigration Bureau, according to sources.

The Cameroon native is likely subject of a deportation order, but it cannot be confirmed if he has yet been put on a flight out of the country.” – good

  2. You always hear rapists have a tough time in prison. Would this scumbag have been kept in some cushy safe part as a result? Or (hopefully) had a terrible seven years?

  3. Holy shit, I remember seeing him out and about when I lived in Sligo, jesus I had no idea he was such a piece of shit.

While I get the anger around his release, we can’t keep him locked up indefinitely either. We definitely should keep an eye on him after release too though.

  4. I do agree with this model for European offenders I know he is from Cameroon, but if you have been found to break the law and get caught, you get sent back and serving your time in the country that’s on your passport/origin. Then we don’t foot the bill for offenders. Would have to be hammered out through European Union to make it mandatory.

I know a Romanian National was sent home for breaking the law in one instance.

We have instances where you can have Europeans working here and dependants on entitlements back in countries of origin, ie childrens allowance. I remember this was the case in 2008 someone can correct me. I also do not object to this provided they are in the system,

  5. I remember a few years ago this man living here as a foreign national was (eventually) convicted of raping a woman with a mental disability. Read next day it happened they were interviewing other known sex offenders living in the area. Christ on a bike. And this is in Dublin centre where assault was near CBS boys school and a crèche not far down.

  6. His case was appealed all the way to the Supreme Court, which is an expensive process. Does anybody know how he funded his legal fees?

  7. My friend was a security guy at a rape centre. He is a hard-working class Dub and he left due to anguish of it all.
Rapists should be given the harshest punishment possible.
School children and young people must be given sex education and personal sexual education.
People who make false rape claims must also be prosecuted too.

  8. Just the €550k spent housing him in prison, plus god knows how much else in legal fees, before shipping him off.
