I saw this too, Co Wexford. I was in the car and forgot to check flightradar when I got in!
Seen it myself driving up the n3 from Clonee to Blanchardstown, looked weird from afar but as I got closer it was moving at a serious speed and in a strange direction as it looked almost vertical

Looks like a private jet bombing along. They go higher than the regular aircraft..not to mention faster – at this time of year winds blow those things along. Looks like two contrails as well
as for looking like it’s going “up” rather than across. It’s an optical illusion based on the curve of the earth
It’s an airplane. Twin engine by the look of the contrails.
If it’s far enough away it’ll look like it’s travelling vertically however if you wait an watch you’ll realise it’s just travelling horizontally. Something to do with leaving in a sphere.
I discovered this phenomenon in primary school when a classmate kept thinking he was witnessing NASA shuttle launches every 5 minutes and I had to tell him otherwise.
Check out an app called Flightradar. Great for spotting weird flights
