Can’t do a survey here but my question is does anyone really care if the DF wither away?
Years ago, I left the FCA/RDF, as a highly irritated member. My unit in particular had a pool of highly skilled and experienced personnel. Engineers, Trades People, Accountants, Medical Professionals to one level or another, etc. We were severely under utilized. Even as a Software/Electrical Engineer and Cyber Security Professional, there was nothing I was authorized to do beyond square bashing.
So in all honesty, the DF and Government are bringing this on themselves. Down vote me for it if necessary, but this is my first hand experience.
