As Croat i don’t need any translation 😂
But it’s interesting to see folks on 9gag that use it all the time and laugh their assess off.
I just seen this idiotic post on 9gag with some drunk folks from Poland and someone translated it in comments like this
“Translation the loud guy:
Check what an equipment, kurwa
That kind of life only in Poland”
This whole sentence nakes no sense, why would one say “check this equipment hooker”
Just bored and curious.

Cuz Kurwa is used just like Fuck. It is basic “Swear word” for us. I would say that “Bitch” is second meaning for us at this point, and rarely used/interpreted in that context.
Because is the universal word.
Taking the word “fuck” literally, quite a lot of English slang and swearing would be almost incomprehensible also.
“Oh for fuck sake” – For the sake of a shag? what on earth has that got to do with stepping on a lego?
Kurwa’s much the same. A literal meaning, but a universal (and delightful to roll those r’s) curse.
It’s just THE swear word and everybody gets it as a reaction to whatever is kurwa going on with this pokurwiony world
kurwa is like a comma , with emotional meaning added to it.. for example “lubie Chorwacje ale kurwa tam Euro jest teraz i drogo” – “I like Croatia but (kurwa) they have Euro now and things are expensive” here the emotion of kurwa is: complaining/disappointment.. another example “ByÅ‚em w Chorwacji, ale tam kurwa super jest” – which means “I was in Croatia, and wow (kurwa) it’s great there!” here kurwa has a form of excitement and showing how much u liked Croatia

I just leave it here 🙂 you welcome
Kurwa means whore, but it also acts like “fuck” and also as a comma. The comma thing is working here as adding it after “check what an equipment” gives it more emotions and meaning.
Even in plane crashes, where pilots where polish, last words are always ‘KURWAAAAAA’ just like in smolensk, or for example Kabacki’s Forest
