I can’t fathom how they’re getting away with manslaughter for this – how does that possible fall short of GBH?
Jailed for 12 years, banned from driving for 10. Interesting. No wheelies in prison for you then.
(Yes, I know he’ll be out earlier for some fucking reason)
> Benjamin Parry, 42, and Chad Brading, 36, both from Plymouth, along with Thomas Pawley, 32
How shit of a life do you have that you are in a gang at 42.
Jesus, what inadequate sentences for such an horrific and torturous death. Considering that it’s described as a coordinated attack, I’m not sure how two of them got away with sentences of just four years?
How is this not murder?
If this was some person who wasn’t a club biker, would they have been done for just manslaughter?
If it was a woman, and not a man, would they have been done for just manslaughter?
I don’t think so.
They got away with just manslaughter because men don’t get punished nearly as much for murdering men as they do for women. Double standards: men “will be boys” when it comes to injuring and killing other men, because clearly the other man was asking for it or whatever. The victim gets blamed by the lesser punishment of the criminals.
Gang members have to be amongst the most pathetic people in existence.
Ridiculous that they couldn’t return a conviction for murder in these circumstances.
Three people from a certain gang, co-ordinate an attack on a rival, with one deliberately ramming a transit van at speed into someone on a motorbike, and then not call an ambulance after is pathetic.
Our legal system is such a joke when it comes to vehicles. How on earth do we have a system where you can ram into someone in a 3 tonne transit van, but claim it wouldn’t at least cause GBH level injuries ?
They clearly had the intent to do this harm to the victim, they’re bikers themselves so likely would know the dangers or risks of a van hitting a bike, they attacked someone at speed using a vehicle as a weapon.
You would never be able to argue that whilst you did stab someone you weren’t intending to cause them serious injury, so I don’t understand how we let people get away with using cars as weapons in the same way and not immediately agree that the likely outcome is a GBH level injury.
If anything what else are you trying to do or expecting would happen? Imagine deliberately ramming a pedestrian whilst in a truck and claiming you thought they’d just brush it off as a little scare
I came across a scene of carnage at a cafe in Oxfordshire I think last year. One cosplay group had kicked the shit out of another. Plod everywhere.
They’re not real bikers. They’re scumbags that like to dress as Bikers and only come out in nice weather. The support clubs are even more embarrassing. Had a few run-in with them as well (savages I think) who turn tail as soon as you stand your ground.
I see running someone over on purpose is not murder. If you want to reduce the severity of harming someone on purpose use a car, but if you want a worse sentence use a knife.

From the BBC article it was a deliberate ramming from Parry’s van as seen on the Dashcam footage. You can actually watch the footage on the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11632497/amp/Shocking-moment-Bandidos-biker-gang-members-killed-motorcyclist-wearing-rival-colours.html) website, Parry smashes into him at speed, it’s baffling how you couldn’t prove an intent to cause GBH ?
