Just heard Eric Cantona on Today on Radio 4. What a legend compared to Beckham who will sell his soul for a buck and a knighthood. How long before the top half of the Premier League is entirely owned by oil rich authoritarian governments?

It was the old filthy lucre wasn’t it? some people can’t see past that.
I’d guess the money was incredible no? It’s easy to judge but how many people would turn that down?
Victoria’s hobby fashion business has apparently built up huge debts due to its failures. They could sell some assets to clear them but you know what rich people are like they never can handle having to down grade.
There’s 150 million reasons over a multi year contract….
I can’t a good reason why he took a role in the film Elizabeth, but that’s just me.
I thought he got a mahoosive amount of money, or am I missing something?
