‘Woman jailed for minimum of 25 years for murdering partner’s 16-month-old daughter after causing “catastrophic” injuries’.
This and the story about little Arthur a while back actually make me feel sick in my stomach. I just can’t even begin to comprehend how these evil bastards could do such things. I think prison and even a quick death would be too good for them.
Also I’m sure there will be some more big talk about enquiries and things but I think things should start a bit more local on where social services went wrong here. The people that were responsible for ensuring the children’s safety in both cases should be disciplined and sacked immediately. By all means have the national enquiry and do whatever you need to make sure it doesn’t happen again but the people that missed the warning signs on these cases need to be in a different line of work. Both stories have shown a long history of people making the authorities aware and reporting the abuse so whoever wasn’t able to get to the bottom of that is responsible and should be held responsible in my opinion.
Minimum of 25 years is reasonably lengthy but hopefully she’s not seeing day light again. Now for the other one getting sentenced.
She obviosuly fancied herself as a bit of a psycho nutcase, for the next decade or two we’ll see how tough she feels as a child-killer in a women’s prison.
I don’t know how to articulate this without sounding as though I feel the mother is innocent – she isn’t. But her IQ and being referred to as ‘abnormally complient’ etc. I read that she still played with dolls at 16. I wish social services had been able to intervene properly with her and her daughter before this had happened.
Change jailed to will be tortured and
Put to death, and the punishment would fit the crime.
Five referrals to social services and they did nothing, these people need to be up for some charges too, the system is a joke. Hope the disgusting woman shuffles off this mortal coil soon too.
It’s a long sentence but she will never feel any sort of guilt or remorse for her actions. At worst, she will admit what she did was wrong, however she will still never shed a real tear over her actions. She deserves to have her freedom taken away, however the rest of Star’s family will never be able to live this down.
Social services fooled by a clean and tidy house yet again
