What is the name / style of this Irish tweed coat part 2! This is the actual coat not the online example I used in previous post. Many thanks!

  1. In all seriousness, Galway on the label might be a slight bit of a misnomer. In all likelihood it was Donegal tweed (an are famous for it’s tweed back in the day), and the line/range which the garment came from was called “Galway”. As per my hand loomer friend sitting across from me here in the bar. She also said it looks like Donegal tweed too. Not very scientific I’ll grant you.
