How is it a Corbyn-era legal cost? He resigned in ~~2019~~ 2020. The decision by Labour to sue their former staffers was taken much later.
Edit: fixed date
The fact is that the Labour Party had a *massive* data breach which could result in large fines and civil settlements. This could be a significant drain on the war chest.
The case against the alleged culprits is a risky face-saving exercise. As the article states, repeated investigations internally have failed to turn up any evidence that the accused people actually did it. The documents were only accessible by a small group of people, which includes the accused people. The case rests on the idea that of the people who had access only the 3 accused people had any motive to hurt the Labour Party in this way, so one of them must have done it. It’s just dumb all over and not the kind of thing a government-in-waiting should be involved with.
What a misleading headline, sounds like people suing the Labour Party because of Corbyn rather than the Labour Party suing Corbyn supporters.
The Labour Party don’t need to take them to court, it is a waste of money because of Starmer’s spite.
Corbyn not only content with giving the worst Tory govt an 80 seat majority, his coterie of clowns made a vicious nasty report and detonated it just as Keir starmer took control over labour
At some point the Tories ought to send Corbyn to the lords for services rendered
hahahahhaah he’s the gift that keeps on giving! good job lefties!!
Whatever happened to that £400k that Jez crowd funded?
