What’s the country?

  1. Seems France, specifically Paris, and Turkey got the most mentions.

Malta has a lot of shit wrong with it but so do most other countries. At least it’s a pretty chill place to live.

  2. For me, it was the semi-opposite.

I grew up in Sweden and since then, I have lived in the US, Italy, Thailand, Austria and Malta.

I used to see Sweden as “the greatest and happiest country in the world!!!” When I lived there. Thought only a fool would say otherwise.

    Boy was I wrong.

Traveling and being a nomad has given me immense perspective to life, society and quality.

Pros and cons everywhere. Every place.

  3. Literally anyone who has any decent travel history/lived elsewhere – or simply uses some critical thinking with some reading sprinkled on, will tell you absolutely everywhere fits this bill.

Travel- you’re relaxed, away from work, not waking up early, not reading any news, not travelling during peak traffic hours, going during the best season typically for that specific country

Life- stressful, exhausting. Highly desensitized to the good of the country due to repeated long term exposure to the good.

People just get overly sensitized to negativity(such as news, events, life periods etc) and have a bad memory for the good.

Absolutely everyone everywhere complains. The grass is greener where you water it.
