Europe is much more dense than US with narrower roads. Using a smaller car makes most sense in Europe.
In US, I don’t get why pick up trucks are so popular. They are high maintenance. They are very popular in South (Texas) and Mid West US. In the coastal states (Washington, New York, Washington), SUVs are very popular. Americans are increasingly preferring SUVs to sedans in recent years.
