  1. Food for thought:

If you don’t go to the doctor, how is the insurance gonna verify you need a home nurse?

If you don’t have a document from the doctor and the nurse has no proof to offer the insurance, how are they gonna prevent scams and fraud then?

I don’t like this, but what would the alternative be?

  2. Anyone know what platform is being used? Vendor? Or is it even worse and each org uses it’s own…
Couldn’t find out much with a 10 minute google session besides the apparent oversaturation of vendors in this space. Everyone wants that data.

  3. Why?

What else are you going to do with the nurse? Let them do your dishes?

Looks like insurance companies looking to install another flawed system to escape their responsibility.

Im sorry we cant pay you back, we never got the picture of your boo boo and we cant help you find the picture either, thats the nurse his/her job, not ours. Ok looks like we dont have to do anything for you today, buhbye now.

  5. Most sensible reason: they want to be able to follow up on a wound yet want to send the cheapest person possible, so not the same one each time. One who is in the area and has a free spot of time.

To do this they need documentation. So they need pictures.
