The Turkish Minister of National Defense presents… a new TV series where the Turkish Navy Seals commandos are fighting against foreign drug dealers in a nearby island, inside of houses with Greek graffiti on their walls. Brought to you by the national TRT channel.

  1. I know, i know. Every country has TV series and films with national heroes fighting against their “enemies”. Nothing new here.

But how often and in which countries do you see the whole Ministry of Defence previewing and presenting it as one of its achievements?

I get some really strong North Korean/Russian vibes from this one.

  2. I don’t get it all American movies and tv series show Russia, china, Iran as enemies this became problem when Turkish tv series show greeks as enemy without even naming.

  3. Greek here and I couldn’t give fewer fucks about how taxes are spent in Turkey. It is, however, a sign of how the country is going to fare in the future.

  4. How is any of this surprising? We all have known for years what Erdogan is about. The invasion of Rojava and Nargono-Karabakh should’ve cleared the last illusions. What is going to be the next great surprise, that China is a party-dictatorship? That Putin is not a “good democrat”?

  5. Just more propaganda to manipulate the populace before the imminent invasion to the Greek islands suddenly one night.

  6. The only thing that bothers me is when users then come to this sub and post articles from TRT and expect folks to take it at face value. Come on, it’s a state run borderline propaganda outlet at this point.

  7. When do we get a Turkish TV series about the Hunt for International Supercriminal Enes Kantner?
