I don’t buy that for a second. Probably a mistake and false accusation here I reckon! She’s good lady. Let’s see if I’m right… I hope I am!
> She set up the Gloag Foundation to support projects that “prevent or relieve poverty and encourage the advancement of education, health and religion in the UK and overseas”.
Speculation: This seems to be the only connection to a possible trafficking offence that could be ‘accidental’. Perhaps she, or her organisation, allowed people invited over (perhaps as students or foreign workers) to knowingly overstay in the UK believing it to be better than returning them to poverty? This might meet the legal definition of trafficking but is not what most would consider as serious as smuggling people on boats, for instance.
Stagecoach – got SA’d at 9 at stagecoach. I don’t give a fuck about them. Screw that company. I told the mother and other higher ups and fuck all happened beyond damage control for them. Never told my parents, never supported me. Because the girl was a kid of the piano player. Fuck them.
When I was a young gay boy in Scotland, this company bankrolled a campaign to “keep the clause” – referring to Clause 28, which banned “the promotion” of homosexuality in schools.
It was not pleasant.
Huh, Brian Soutter might not even be the worst prick at Stagecoach…
Headline so jarring because you don’t expect:
1) Stagecoach,
2) a cofounder,
3) a woman,
4) or a Dame
To be charged with human trafficking
Must be the slowest most inefficient trafficking service available
>Dame Ann has six children, 13 grandchildren , two great-grandchildren and seventy-five-thousand god children
If this is Stagecoach the bus company then I hope she’s caught up in a Kafkaesque nightmare of jurisprudence akin to what her company imposes on its customers every single day.
1/3 third of the article was about her being c barged, the rest was blowing smoke up her arse about how she’s a philanthropist.
For the usual doubters already spouting “hmmm there doesn’t seem to be much detail given” etc.
Of course there won’t be much detail given as the prosecution is going to be working overtime and probably already have been to even get the charge. They aren’t going to just show their entire hand by turning everything over to media outlets.
As we’ve seen time and time again in the UK the wealthy often get a pass simply because it’s so hard to pin them to crimes due to the sheer amount of influence and wealth they have, even if it does end up going to court they can afford a top tier legal team.
So it is intentional there is very little information coming out about this, if anything this is probably just to help get any victims to come forward as they know they’ll now be believed.
If this is true, asset strip her, remove her poxy worthless Damehood and send her to a landfill site to do some recycling sorting for the rest of her life.
There was a documentary about Stagecoach. It was a big claimant of grants but paid as much in dividends as those grants. They aggressively broke rival companies so they could swoop in with more expensive services
