It’s is not about Hindus and Muslims.in India, It’s now about the educated and the uneducated. The bigots and the secular. The hindutva brigade and others. Basically it’s modi supporters vs Muslims, christians , Sikhs, Congress, left ideology parties, other political parties, educators, intellectuals, youth, keralites, tamilians, north east Indias, beef eaters erc etc etc.
We have to remember that Modi is India’s Trump with all the same nationalism and connections to right wing Hinduism that Trump has to christianity. He also has a cult of personality that if criticised sparks claims of foreign interference and post colonialism. The press out there is as critical as Fox with dissenting voices marginalised or even jailed. India is sleep walking into another despotic regime akin to that in Moscow
