Lads, Can someone tweet at Louis Theroux and tell him he needs to interview Enoch Burke and Family? He’s missing a trick.

  1. Part of the problem may be that Burke is magnetic. Not by personality I imagine, but he seems to be attracted to metal display stands, radiators in school corridors, gates in the photo and the joy, cell bars etc.

  2. Why? I dont want to know anymore about them.

Banging my head against a wall trying to forget what I already know about them.

  3. The only reason this fella is getting air time is cause it’s very funny. I bet he got up to all sorts in mountjoy

  4. The Burkes are Irelands Westboro Baptist Church.

A documentary from Louis Theroux would be great fun

  5. This is one review about his book on amazon. He’s apparently never has sex yet he loves going into school.

[This is one of the nastiest things purporting to be Christian I’ve read in a very long time. The book is an unrelenting and often personalised attack on two well known and widely respected evangelical Christians. The basis of the book is first, we’re not supposed to enjoy our God and rejoice in our faith; and second, that even temptation is sinful, at least if the temptation is homosexual. Sam Berry is gay. He is, in his own words, ‘same sex attracted’. He is also celebate. Indeed, he has never enjoyed a romantic relationship and he tells us he has never had sex. Personally, I think that’s a big ask for anyone. Either way, no where does the Bible indicate that temptation to even illicit sex is a sin. The important thing is that we don’t give into temptation. Enoch Burke is self-righteous. Like the Pharisee in Jesus’ parable of the tax collector and publican, his salvation appears to rest on the fact that he isn’t as other people are. His tract is full of hatred and does nothing to commend the Gospel. If the mere fact of being tempted damns us, there is no salvation for anyone. Never mind 1/5, even zero out of five would be too much. One hopes that Burke might one day come to know the peace and joy found in believing in Christ.](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hedonism-Homosexuality-John-Piper-Allberry/dp/1999935527/ref=tmm_pap_swatch)

  6. I can already imagine it in my head

*In an inquisitive and unsure Louis Theroux voice*

“So Enoch, I hear you had an issue with calling a student by a different pronoun, is that correct ?”

  7. The Burkes would be boring. They are hateful bigots, but they are perfectly dull hateful bigots. Relative to the rest of the world, there’s nothing unusual about their hatred, their bigotry, or how they express it. They don’t even have the decency to be interesting.

  8. They would be ideal. I find them strangely fascinating. I think that they are too intelligent to do anything with the like of Theroux etc unfortunately.
