Having lived in both Prague and Bratislava it’s not surprising. One might lead a better lifestyle in Bratislava if they work for a BPO/IT company than if they live in Prague. Salaries are mostly the same, but in BA you could rent something nice for the money for a lousy crumbling old house in Prague. Speaking from experience. I went from a room in a flat with a Jacuzzi near Obchodna to a crumbling old house near the TV tower in Prague where the bathroom was in the hallway without any heating. Most shocking was I got the same salaries in both cities.
