Haven’t topped up in 20 years, can you not just top up through your networks app?
Sorry, my fault, a few months ago I suggested they have a €15 denomination selection option because a bunch of new plans for top up are now 15 quid a month not 20 (there also was a 35 Vodafone one for a long time too I think) and instead of adding it, they yeeted to whole option into the sun. My bad
Is prepay still even a thing? Thought it died a death with the cheap bill pay offerings.
Just use your card?
This is hardly a straw to break any back
Permanent TSB have it in app.
at The end of the email they say,we know you might not like this but you can close your account if you feel like this.the cheek of them.hate BOI
Move to bill pay.
Who uses payg anymore? I’m up north paying £4 a month for unlimited calls + text and 20gb a month with no contract.
I didn’t know this was a thing. Just top up through the provider’s app?
Gomo €14.99 a month for unlimited everything.
Set up a scheduled top up on the 3 app or website and never have to worry about it!!
The top up services are meant to be maintained by the network, not the bank.
Bank app top ups have fairly regular fail rates. People ring the banks customer service and start moaning. Customer service (correctly) tells them its not their end that messed up up the mobile provider. People moan further saying they used the banks app, so its the banks fault. Bank literally can’t do anything.
I imagine its been a pain in their hole for some time.
I stopped using the top up service (topping up with both Eir and Vodaphone) about a year ago due to failed top ups.
Swapped to gomo when it was 9.99 Never had any trouble
Swap to GoMo, €14.99 for life guaranteed no price changes. Direct debit every month so you don’t have to worry about topping up, unlimited everything, good coverage aswell.
Ah lad come on it’s 2023. Check out GoMo or Clearmobile.
Oh no. I don’t use the BOI app for much else. It’s very handy
Honestly an post smart account has been the easiest bank I’ve ever used.
Never knew that was an option, i just use the eir website
BOI dropping a service that’s not used by many people is hardly a reason to move to another bank.Change to a to pre pay service for your phone instead
Probaby got rid because nobody uses it anymore. Who buys credit in this day and age?
