In the Netherlands, familybeds are a thing. These are extra wide beds, 270+ cm.
I dont see them here, or the choice is very limited. Dont Belgians like them? Where to buy them? Whats wrong with a huge bed?

Belgians usually don’t sleep with family members.
Never in my life have i seen one. And who has room for that ? And even in those tiny tiny dutch houses ?

I’m not Belgian and had never heard of those, but can I just say that sounds fucking awesome?! I still share a bed with my sibling because of a lack of rooms, and that would be so handy
Never heard of them either and now I’m very confused. I mean, a big bed is awesome, but there are ‘familiebedden’ of 3m wide?? Is this for parents and their grown children as well? Is that a thing in NL?
Maybe try a speciality store like sit sleep in Leuven? Our bed is 200w 220l and we got it from there.
This is my dream bed! As a pet owner whose husband insists on letting the dogs on the bed, I need a bigger bed. I didn’t know this was a thing in the Netherlands.
Nowadays, more and more young parents sleep with their little ones, but it is definitely not the norm. Maybe family beds will come here someday too.

I’m Dutch, never heard about nor seen such a thing in my life. I know in the US they have King size or Texas King Size or something, which are super wide. But a family bed? Can’t even imagine why…
